This Years Hootenanny is going to be a big one. If you haven’t seen the upcoming bands and this years Hootenanny, you need to. First off let me say that Chuck Berry and Jerry Lee Lewis are going to be there and lord knows how much longer they are going to be alive.

All i have to say is that i’d love to see more classic style Rockabilly style bands. The shows gotten too much with these bands that are too much Psychobilly.I love Psychobilly, but its taken over too much of the show.I was at the Stater Bros. Route 66 Rendevouz this past weekend.Saturday was the best day cuz they had some great acts of Rockabilly that day.I especially enjoyed Mad Max and the Wild Ones.Theres alot of great bands on the east coast what are great too.Like Frantic Flattops,The Belmont Playboys.I enjoy seeing James Intveld when hes there. Also Big Sandy. Not bands like when u bring in the Latino scene or the Irish scene like when u had Floggin Molly there.I do love these bands but not for Hootenanny.Hootenanny to me is Rockabilly. Its like if u said u were going by a recipe and it said to add a pound of flour(Rockabilly) with a dash of salt(Psychobilly). Also the car show seems to have lost its kick.Something needs to be pepped up on it.Well thats all I have say.I sure hope u find anything to your liking. If u don’t,well thats O.K.For me it was just getting something off my chest.
